Tax Season 2023

Welcome to our first 2023 NAPMW Fresno Event.  Our Association is excited to introduce you to Joseph Batz, an IRS Field Agent.

Joseph “Joe” Batz graduated from Golden Gate University with his degree in accounting while working for a high net worth CPA firm specializing in forensic accounting for divorce law and damages. 

In 2010 he became an IRS field agent and oversees the Cannabis and ECFI projects. 

Joe has years of experience teaching individual and corporate taxation. 

Join Us as Joe explains the IRS understanding and logic of ‘sole proprietorship’ with the Sch. C section and ‘itemized deductions’ for the Sch. A. He will cover how to read these schedules as well as the benefits when buying a home. He will also touch on the 1031 Like-Kind Exchange process and guidelines surrounding those transactions.
